Sarah holds a BA with honors in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Northern Colorado, where she was the two-time recipient of the esteemed honor of Dancer of the Year. She has participated in the Inside ODC Professional Workshop, Baardar Dance Institut (3rd year certificate), and has studied with Lizanne McAdams Graham, Arthur Leeth, Cherie Noble, and Jeffrey Rockland. Prior to BNC, Sarah danced with David Taylor Dance Theatre, Kim Robards Dance, Lynn Barr and Dancers (Italy), Baardar Dance Institut (Norway), and Colorado Dance Theatre as both dancer and ballet mistress. Off season, Sarah is a soloist with Burklyn Ballet Theatre and an artist with Gleich Dances Contemporary Ballet. With BNC, Sarah has danced numerous featured roles, in works such as Game Piece, The Ugly Duckling (title role), In Between Dreams, Moulin Rouge and Nutcracker. An accomplished choreographer, she has created work for Nouveau Showcase (2006 and 2007), BNC’s Student Company, and Burklyn Ballet Theatre. Sarah has extensive teaching experience, including at Burklyn Ballet Theatre (6 years, ballet mistress) and the School of BNC (2 years). Her interests include yoga, the mountains, snowboarding, any winter activity, anything Colorado and anything Vermont.
