History

1992

Founded as a student performing company and school, providing outreach performances for elementary schools in Adams County and the North Metro area.

1999

Educational programs certified by the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.

2002

Transitioned from hiring professional dancers on an as-needed basis to maintaining a full-time contemporary ballet company.

Honored by the Colorado State House of Representatives with House Resolution #02-1009 for our contributions to the State of Colorado through our professional performances, educational programs and community involvement.

2003

Developed year-long educational partnerships with area elementary schools using dance to strengthen core curricula.

2005

Grew to become the second largest ballet company in Colorado, attracting professional dancers from across the country.

2006

Premiered in downtown Denver at the Historic Paramount Theatre.

Partnered with two SCFD Tier II organizations, The Butterfly Pavilion and Central City Opera, to present Ballads, Bugs and Ballet, an exploratory outreach event for families.

Piloted The Ugly Duckling Anti-Bullying Program for schools in Adams, Broomfield and Jefferson Counties.

2007

Received recognition in national press, with features in both Pointe and Dance magazines.

Garrett Ammon and Dawn Fay moved to Colorado to become new artistic team.
